Which rocks are which?

image29

We had an interesting session of scientific discovery studying the rocks we bought back from our first trip inland on our Greek island.

We studied their structure, classified them and found out about the different types of rock: igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic.

However, we mixed up our rock samples on the way back. Which rock sample is which? We have slate, marble, granite, chalk and sandstone.

A good answer will talk about whether they are igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic as well.
